Coming from Yaounde, Cameron, at 7’0 Joel Embiid watched the greats as a young man coming up. To be specific, Joel Embiid would watch Hakeem Olajuwon. flying like a butterfly, and stinging like a bee, Joel Embiid went from Africa, to being a center for the University of Kansas. From there on, he got drafted to the Philadelphia 76ers, where he suffers injuries in his debut years. Fast forward to now, Joel Embiid averages 22.8 points a game, he shoots 46.6% from the field, 33.3% from 3pt, 12.0 rebounds, 0.8 skills, and 1.4 rebounds. He has also had several star games appearances to add onto his good stats.
Coming from the New York, and the University of Connecticut, Andre Drummond posts big numbers as a very big guy. He started out his career on the Detroit Pistons, and now his next stop has been Cleveland to run with the Cavaliers where he now plays center to protect the paint with Tristan Thompson. Andre Drummond posts big numbers. 17.8 points a game, 53.0 from the floor, 15.8 rebounds a game, 2.0 steals a game, and 1.7 blocks a game.
The question is:
Who do you think is the better player?
In my opinion, despite Drummond’s slightly better stats on the defensive side of their games, I personally think Joel Embiid is the better player. Here is why, he is better equip offensively. He has great footwork, he can battle in the post with any big, and because he can adapt. When I say adapt, I mean he can shoot the 3 pointer, which is a valuable weapon to have in today’s game. If we were discussing the times before the 3 pointer became popular, I would’ve said Andre Drummond was the better man. He IS better on defense, the stats prove it, but overall, I think Embiid takes it.
Hello readers, my name is Merrick Tull-Johnson. My blogs will be a comparison of NBA players, old and new. It’ll be a comparison of the players to determine who’s the best between the two. You, as the reader, will have to determine who is the better between the two with me, and I will make sure to make it challenging as well. It’ll be fun though! I look forward to doing this!!

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
